Björk’s Adventure is my fourth title. I created this book as a bonus project dedicated to Björk Guðmundsdóttir, the famous Icelandic pop star! She wasn’t well known in the United States apart from her Mad TV parodies and the fight she had with a reporter. The press tried to paint her as violent even though the reporter stalked her son from Britain to Thailand for well over four days.
This novel is both a parody and a thriller at the same time. She’s a Martian who crash-landed on Earth with a pet sidekick named Mr. Cat the Business Cat. He’s nuclear powered! Most of her dialogue is real-life wacky interview quotes and song lyrics. Her poetry is used to describe environments and at the end of chapters, there’s a list of references I used.
